| COURT
ACTION
Many
complaints are not resolved by sending the party an enforcement
letter; therefore, resulting in this office seeking complaints in
district or superior court. Complaints that are brought to court,
in most cased, are very time consuming and tedious. During this
process, it may appear as if the inspectors are not getting an enforcement
action against the alleged violator; but in fact, the case is tied
up in court. At this point, we would like to be able to inform the
complainant of the status of the complaint.
NON-CRIMINAL
DEPOSITION
Another
option besides taking the parties involved in a complaint to court
is the non-criminal deposition ticketing procedure for violation
of the towns' zoning and general bylaw's. The fines implemented
for zoning by-law violations are $300.00 per day, per violation.
Every day the violation exists, constitutes a separate violation.

be able to determine what is being constructed. Drawings must show
