Pottery Classes at Potters Place in Walpole
Learn the basics
of wheel throwing and hand building, or enhance your skills. These classes
are for beginners through advanced. Each class meets for 3 hours once
a week for 8 weeks. The fee is $200 and includes instruction and materials.
A tool kit and firing fees are additional.
Morning classes are: Tuesdays from 9am-12pm (with Sue Brum starting
February 12); Wednesdays from 10am-1pm (with Lizanne Donegan starting
March 19) or Thursdays from 10am-1pm (with Lizanne Donegan starting
March 20). Evening classes are: Mondays from 6:30-9:30pm (with Gay Calo
starting March 10) or Wednesdays from 7-10pm (with Henriette Dresens
starting March 26). Call

Walpole Historical Society 2:00 PM at the Deacon Willard Lewis
House
Roger Turner, Jr. will give a Power Point presentation on Blackburn
Memorial Hall. Roger will talk about the uses of the building and some
of it's occupants since it was dedicated in November 1932. He also asks
any one with photographs or memories of their earlier days and Blackburn
to
bring them to the meeting. Blackburn Memorial cost about $45,0000 to
construct in 1932, which is about the same as $580,000 in today's dollar.
There is no charge for admission and refreshments will be served.
