- National Weather Service SKYWARN Presentation on Severe Weather, 7:00 PM at the Walpole Senior Center, 135 School. Street, Walpole The program will cover topics such as severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, winter storms, hurricanes and other severe weather topics and preparedness. This program is free and open to the public. You may pre-register by calling 508-660-7321. For further information on this program you may call 508-660-7365. This program is sponsored by Walpole Citizen Corps, Medical Reserve Corps, CERT, Walpole Emergency Management and our local SKYWARN program. All are welcome.

- Walpole Historical Society, 7:30 PM at the Deacon Lewis House, 33 West Street, Walpole The speaker for the evening will be Ed Capone of the NOAA Weather Service office in Taunton. Mr. Capone oversees the coordination of services that the National Weather Service provides to federal, state, and local agencies. Ed is a local boy, growing up in East Walpole and graduating from Walpole High School. In addition to talking about his NOAA work, some East Walpole memories will be included. Bring a friend - refreshments will be served.
