Employees of the Month

Officers Dave Sullivan, Joe Zanghetti & William Madden

Their efforts and responsiveness to a situation involving a potentially dangerous individual who was in possession of hundreds of weapons are highlighted in the Police Chief's nomination of Officers Dave Sullivan, Joe Zanghetti and William Madden as the Employees of the Month. Their attentiveness and understanding of the situation kept a dangerous person out of the community. For all of this and for their continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and their profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Officers Sullivan, Zanghetti and Madden as the December 2005 Employees of the Month.


November 2005 Employees of the Month
Scott Pearson, Building Custodian & Bob Bothwell, Maintenance Craftsman

Their efforts and responsiveness to various requests made to both of them while they work in the Town Hall are highlighted in Selectman Winston's nomination of Scott Pearson (left) and Bob Bothwell. (right). For all of this and for their continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and their profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Bob Bothwell and Scott Pearson as the November 2005 Employees of the Month.


October 2005 Employee of the Month
Drew Hand Acting Highway/Cemetery/Parks Superintendent

His coordination of Town resources during a severe weekend storm in October are highlighted in the Town Administrator's nomination of Drew Hand. Drew's efforts and leadership during the weekend storm was first-rate. For all of this and for his continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and his profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Acting Highway/Cemetery/Parks Superintendent Drew Hand as the October 2005 Employee of the Month.


September 2005 Employee of the Month
Dispatcher Tim Brooks

His coordination of Police and Fire efforts during a 911 call are highlighted in the Deputy Police Chief's nomination of Tim Brooks. Due to Tim's quick and diligent reaction the life of a chocking baby was saved. For all of this and for his continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and his profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Dispatcher Tim Brooks as the September 2005 Employee of the Month.


August 2005 Employee of the Month
Police Officer William Madden

His hard work and dedication is highlighted in a letter sent by the Assistant District Attorney. The intelligence, professionalism, honor and integrity that he exhibits on a daily basis at the Wrentham District Court is also acknowledged in the Assistant District Attorney's letter of commendation. For all of that and for his continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and his profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Police Officer William Madden as the August 2005 Employee of the Month.


July 2005 Employee of the Month
Valorie Donahue, Personnel/Benefits Coordinator

Her hard work and coordination of the Walpole Walks Program are highlighted in the Board of Health Agent's nomination of Valorie Donohue. Val tracked Town employees' walking progress and helped to make the program a success. The Walpole Walks Program resulted in many success stories including weight loss, lower cholesterol and blood pressure. For all of that and for her continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and her profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Valorie Donahue as the July 2005 Employee of the Month.


June 2005 Employee of the Month
Richard Earl, Heavy Motor Equipment Operator

His hard work and dedication to the Town of Walpole are highlighted in the Assistant Highway Superintendent's nomination of Richard Earl. Richard has gone above and beyond the call of duty during a very busy Town election and night before the fourth celebration. For all of that and for his continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and his profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Richard Earl as the June 2005 Employee of the Month.


May 2005 Employee of the Month
Roger Turner, Emergency Management Director

His exemplary work and devotion to not only Emergency Management but also to the Town of Walpole are highlighted in the Town Administrator's nomination of Roger Turner. Roger has assisted on multiple municipal projects including helping out with Chemical Treatments to the Town Ponds and facilitating the extension and eventual completion of the FY 05 Local Preparedness Grant. For all of that and for his continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and his profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Roger Turner as the May 2005 Employee of the Month.


April 2005 Employee of the Month
Warren Smith, Reference Services Librarian

His knowledge base and dedication to the Walpole Library are highlighted in the Library Director's nomination of Warren Smith. Warren has risen to the challenges that have come up during the month of April and the feedback from the Library users regarding his performance has been very positive. For all of that and for his continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and his profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Warren Smith as the April 2005 Employee of the Month.


March 2005 Employee of the Month
Robin Chapell, Health Agent

Her innovative and enthusiastic approach to the employee health seminars are highlighted in the Personnel and Benefits Coordinator's nomination of Robin Chapell. Robin has gone the extra mile implementing employee health events such as, strengthening sessions, "sun talks", cardiovascular disease screening and the employee walking program. For all of that and for her continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and her profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Robin Chapel as the March 2005 Employee of the Month.


February 2005 Employee of the Month
Pat MacConnell, Assistant Town Clerk


Her hard work and due diligence during the election season are highlighted in the Town Clerk's nomination of Pat MacConnell. Pat has been a critical part of the Town Clerk's office. For all of that and for her continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and her profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Pat MacConnell as the February 2005 Employee of the Month.


January 2005 Employee of the Month
Walpole's Department of Public Works

Their hard work and due diligence are highlighted in the Town Administrator's nomination of the Department of Public Works employees. The Town Administrator cited the DPW's ability and willingness to brave the bitter cold and snowy conditions to keep the Town's streets and sidewalks open and passable. The storm of January 22-23 produced nearly 30 inches of snow and without everyone working as a cohesive team it could have been a very difficult situation for the Town of Walpole. For all of that and for their continued dedication to the Town of Walpole and their profession, it is the Town's pleasure to present Department of Public Works Employees as the January 2005 Employee of the Month.
