Walpole's Historical Resources
In 1982 the Walpole Historical Commission, with help from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, published an inventory of Walpole's historical resources. The inventory included structures (houses, factories, churches, public buildings, etc.), areas, monuments and burial grounds, about two hundred sites in all. The majority of structures were houses. As some of the present owners of these houses may be unaware of their historic status, a list of houses by street number is given below. The list was admittedly incomplete when originally published.
