From
Michael E. Boynton, Town Administrator:
On
Tuesday January 13, 2009, the Walpole Board of Selectmen voted to
endorse and recommend the proposals for Municipal Relief presented
by the Massachusetts Municipal Management Association. In these
times of severe economic distress, it is critical that cities and
towns across Massachusetts be provided with tools such as those
listed in the MMMA document to control costs and better manage budgets.
This endorsement and recommendation has been transmitted to Walpoles
Legislative Delegation (Senator Timilty, Representatives Kafka,
McMurtry, Rogers and Ross) for their action on Beacon Hill.
