Route 1A (northerly section) Reconstruction Letters of Support

Project Background

For many years now, MassDOT (formerly MassHighway) has had the northerly section of Route 1A, ( from Route 27 to the Norwood town line) under design for reconstruction. Included in this design, are sidewalks, road reconstruction, traffic signal installation, bridge reconstruction and appurtenant work.

Even though this is a state-sponsored project, Walpole citizens, residents, property owners, and business owners are stakeholders in the work that is to take place. In order to urge that this project be advanced to full design and construction as soon as possible, all interested parties are urged to contact our state legislators and transportation officials and tell them how important this project is to the Town.
