Walpole Public Library Recognition Opportunities

The Walpole Public Library Trustees have posted recognition opportunities for the new library building. We are looking for any businesses, organizations, or individuals who would like to donate and have their names, family, or loved ones recognized in perpetuity in the first new municipal building in Walpole in over 50 years! This is a great opportunity for families to be honored, for loved ones who have passed away to be memorialized, and for organizations who would like to be seen by people of all ages and backgrounds.

In addition to the opportunities in the document below, we are also raising funds for our "Green" initiative. As we have said, we are pursuing LEEDS certification (another 1st in Walpole!). We will have "interpretive signage" in spots where there are green activities explaining what is going on and how it benefits us all (most are not obvious to the patrons). Paul Cesary is spearheading this educational signage project and accepting any donation size. He can be contacted at pc301@comcast.net or mobile (617) 620-4194. If we raise more than $10,000 for this effort, we hope to include some cutting edge technology around an app or QR codes that will further enhance the patron experience and education beyond the brochures and signs.

The new library is 94% complete and pictures can be seen at http://walpolepl.blogspot.com/.

Thank you very much,

Maura Rudolph
Chairman of the Walpole Public Library Trustees
