What is T.R.I.A.D?

T.R.I.A.D.

The Walpole Police Department works jointly with the Walpole Fire Department, Norfolk County Sheriff's Department and the Walpole Council On Aging, to develop programs and hold public forums where seniors can learn ways to increase their safety, and get a better overall understanding of the public safety realm.

Members of the local public safety community hold meetings at the Senior Center on a variety of topics that include:

-Crime Prevention: such as identifying scams that target the elderly, as well as identity theft.
-Fire Prevention: learning ways to avoid fire hazards.
-9-1-1 Familiarity: what to expect when calling in an emergency, and how to be prepared.
-File of Life: an informational card that has vital information in case of an emergency.
-Operation Lifesaver: a program to assist with locating those who wander due to Alzheimer's.

If you are interested in attending these meetings, please check for the time and date in the Walpole COA newsletter.
