Be Aware of Counterfeit Smoke and CO Detectors

Home owners and home buyers should be aware of counterfeit smoke detectors and smoke/co detectors. When buying or replacing your smoke detectors on line you may find a wide variety of smoke detectors. A good portion of which may not be properly tested and rated. The Massachusetts Department of Fire Services has put out a press release for the public on the subject of unlisted and counterfeit alarms.
