Union Station Voted Eligible for National Register Listing by MHC

-A A +A

On December 9, 2015, the Massachusetts Historical Commission voted Union Station eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. The nomination form has been submitted to the National Register Office (NRO), National Park Service, for final review. If deemed eligible by the NRO, it will be listed in both the National and State Register of Historic Places.  This effort to have Union Station listed was through the efforts of the Walpole Historical Commission, Walpole Historical Society, Michael Amaral, (former WHC Chair), Kathy Broomer, preservation consultant, and a grant from the Rockland Federal Credit Union.
