Well, the Celebration has finally arrived!

We began our event planning meetings in July 2015 and the Celebration is only a few days away.  We hope yuo'll join us for a unique and memorable day.

Preparation for the 100th has included:

- Monthly articles about the Town Forest have been published in the Walpole Times beginning in Septemeber 2015 through April 2016.  Thank you, Wicked Local!

- A Walpole High student, Angela Pine, has designed a logo that we have adopted for our official correspondence.  Thank you, Angela!

- A Town Forest Cleanup was held on Nov. 14.  Approximately 25 people attended and were given free Tee-shirts with our new logo.  See photos on this webpage.

- The itinerary for the Anniversary celebration on May 1, 2016 has been finalized.  Click here for a copy.

- The event will be held near the scoreboard at Turco Field.  The gala event will include speakers, the dedication of a monument, children's activities, hayrides, demonstrations of logging and the planting of 1,000 white pine saplings by the public.

- For a map of the grounds, showing the locations of demonstrations, click here.

- A new map of the Town Forest has been created.  Among the features are that trail intersections have now been numbered, so you can precisely identify your location in the Town Forest.

We really hope you'll join us on Sunday.
