Mission Statement

The Human Resources Department is responsible for promoting a fair, inclusive, and high-performing workplace for Town of Walpole employees. In partnership with Town departments and the community, Human Resources fosters a respectful workplace that values public service, professional growth, and equitable employment practices across municipal government.

We support the Town’s commitment to operational excellence, legal compliance, and employee well-being through recruitment, benefits administration, training, labor and employee relations, leave administration, and other personnel services for Town departments.

The Town Human Resources Department also administers employee benefits for Walpole Public Schools employees. The Walpole Public Schools has its own Human Resources team, which handles all other school personnel, payroll, hiring, employee relations, and employment matters separately from the Town Human Resources Department.
