Veteran Committee member

The Veterans Committee is looking to fill an opening. As of now we are currently short one member. The available position is for a Veteran in Walpole that is motivated and will be dedicated to help and assist Veterans and their Families in the Walpole area.

The Veterans Services Committee’s duties shall include:

Provide support to and for active military servicemen & servicewomen and their families.

Develop, for Board of Selectmen approval, a process where memorials described herein may be considered for Walpole Veterans.

Assist the Veterans Agent with community outreach, including annual Veterans Day and Memorial Day activities, including placing flags at cemeteries.

Conduct annual Veterans Services Forum focusing on the resources available to active and retired Veterans, as well as important topics of the day.

Establish working partnerships with Veterans Groups & Organizations for the betterment and benefit of Walpole’s Veterans.

Assist the Veterans Agent with special projects as may be needed from time to time.
